‘Fake’ battle for Labor Party leadership in NSW ‘won’t occur’: Jones

Sky News hot Alan Jones says an ugly run-off between former “failed leader” Michael Daley and Chris Minns for the NSW Labor Party leadership “won’t occur”.

Mr Jones said he ‘suspects” Mr Daley, a former leader of the NSW Labor Party, would not get the support from his caucus to even compete with Chris Minns for the leadership.

“It’s said that there are two starters, but I suspect the former failed leader, Michael Daley, who needs 15 votes from his caucus to be able to put his name forward as a candidate – I suspect he won’t get 15,” Mr Jones said.

“So an ugly run-off between him and Chris Minns won’t occur. That would be the best outcome for Labor.”
